Born in Coventry, Nick has been producing professional commercial photographic images for more than 30 years. Back in 1991 he became the first professional photographer to ever qualify, by examination, as a FELLOW of the Master Photographers Association. Fellowship (FMPA) is regarded as the highest professional status a photographer can achieve in the UK and is a mark of the quality and creativity of his work.
Educated in Photography & Art at the University of Westminster he is the winner of many professional awards with both the MPA and The British Institute of Professional Photography. Nick has run workshops, written and illustrated articles on artistic photography, has been the subject of BBC and CBC broadcasts and has lectured extensively throughout Europe as well as teaching photography for his local education authority.
Formally trained he learned his skills on enormous Sinar plate cameras and his first professional camera was a Mamiyaflex twin-lens reflex bellows model with interchangeable lenses. Progressing through Hasselblad and Zenza Bronica square format film cameras he now uses a pair of Nikon Digital SLR's for ease-of-use in the field!
He is regarded as an expert in both aesthetic posing of the human form and the use of light to saturate colour or create effect.

As well as taking photographs, Nick writes articles (on many diverse subjects) for publication, has been National President of a motorsport (kart racing) championship for the last 13 years and carries out regular weekly work, on a volunteer basis, for his local hospice. He is a practising life-long naturist and spends as much time as he can relaxing on naturist beaches in the UK and in Southern Croatia where he also enjoys (real) skin-diving in the clear seas.
